Founded in Paris in 1833, by a 20 year old law student, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is an international organization of lay Catholics seeking spiritual growth through person-to-person service to our neighbors in need.
Our Mission
Build a more just world by serving those in need in our community by:
Providing Assistance: from rental assistance and homelessness prevention, to thrift stores and food pantries, to disaster recovery and charitable pharmacies, we provide care to those who are in urgent need, in crisis situations.
Creating Opportunities for Service: we offer volunteers, known as Vincentians, a chance to serve their neighbors with compassion and love.
Promoting Value: strive to live the Gospel message by serving the poor with respect.
Support Us
Help us in our efforts to help those facing hardships within the communities of Norfolk and Medfield by:
Donating clothes in one of the SVdP boxes at St. Edward and another to be installed at St. Jude.
Make a tax-deductible contribution to our Conference either at Mass during our special collection, in the donation boxes in both churches, or at our office. Checks can be made out to: “St Edward and St Jude Conference”
